½ c. onion, chopped
16 oz can tomatoes; chopped
13 ¾ oz can chicken broth
pepper to taste
15 ½ can okra, drained
3 c. cooked rice
2 Tbl butter
8 oz can tomato sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 bay leaf
1 lb crab
In saucepan, sauté onion in butter. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, sugar, pepper, and bay leaf.
Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
Add okra and crab. Heat through.
Serve in soup plates over hot rice. Serves 6
